JESCA HOOP: THE KINGDOM.

I must confess I am a grat fan of JESCA HOOP, I need to listen her extremely adictive music twice on a week This is THE KINGDOM a magic song with a great video. Hope you like.

Jesca Hoop: The Kingdom Music Video from Filmatics on Vimeo.

LYRICS

All of the falling on the ground
holder in ground
I lay down a shrine
and I come with the autumn to tear it down
orange and brown
and I lay a soft down
for all the waiting old and thine
brethren bathing bones and brine
separate your light from mine
multiply

Under the spell of full November moon
light on the broom
frost in my room
in through a window came a ghost I knew
oh she paid me a visit while I was in my bed
sleepy, she said,
"sleep as though dead
for in the morning you are called"
is what she said
To the high desert all is raging
you must go to the battlefield
and follow the cry of men rampaging
and gather the ones that won't heal

Down through a cloud of smoke
to the promised land
many are dead
river runs red
for my god and for my king
is what he said

Oh I came down to my knees
with my lips to his ear
my hand to his chest
his wounded breast
for my god and for my king
I will not rest

But in the high desert
you are dying
for your god and his ghost and the son
do not hold to the earth on which you are lying
for the kingdom can never be won

All of the falling on the ground
holder in ground
I lay down a shrine
and I come with the autumn to tear it down
orange and brown
and I lay a soft down
for all the waiting old and thine
brethren bathing bones and brine
separate your light from mine
let go of the earth

THE SUNDAYS: HERE'S WHERE THE STORY ENDS.

Today I want to remember one of my favourite songs of all the times. This beautiful song is HERE'S WHERE THE STORY ENDS that belongs to a british band called THE SUNDAYS and it was recorded in 1989. Hope you like.

LYRICS

People I know, places I go, make me feel tongue-tied
I can see how people look down, they're on the inside
here's where the story ends
people I see, weary of me showing my good side
I can see how people look down
I'm on the outside
here's where the story ends
ooh here's where the story ends

it's that little souvenir of a terrible year
which makes my eyes feel sore
oh I never should have said, the books that you read
were all I loved you for
it's that little souvenir of a terrible year
which makes me wonder why
and it's the memories of your shed that make me turn red
surprise, surprise, surprise

crazy I know, places I go
make me feel so tired
I can see how people look down
I'm on the outside
oh here's where the story ends
ooh here's where the story ends

it's that little souvenir of a terrible year
which makes my eyes feel sore
and who ever would've thought the books that you brought
were all I loved you for
oh the devil in me said, go down to the shed
I know where I belong
but the only thing I ever really wanted to say
was wrong, was wrong, was wrong

it's that little souvenir of a colourful year
which makes me smile inside
so I cynically, cynically say, the world is that way
surprise, surprise, surprise, surprise, surprise
here's where the story ends
ooh here's where the story ends

FLORENCE + THE MACHINE: WHAT THE WATER GAVE ME.

Finally we can enjoy "Ceremonials", the new album of FLORENCE + THE MACHINE. Can She overcome the critical and commercial success of their previous album? You can bet if you want. WHAT THE WATER GAVE ME is her first single. Hope you like.

LYRICS

Time it took us
To where the water was
That's what the water gave me
And time goes quicker
Between the two of us
Oh, my love, don't forsake me
Take what the water gave me

Lay me down
Let the only sound
Be the overflow
Pockets full of stones

Lay me down
Let the only sound
Be the overflow

And don't pour at us
The world's beast of a burden
You've been holding on a long time
And all this longing
And the shields are left to rust
That's what the water gave us

So lay me down
Let the only sound
Be the overflow
Pockets full of stones

Lay me down
Let the only sound
Be the overflow

'Cause they took your loved ones
But returned them in exchange for you
But would you have it any other way?
Would you have it any other way?
You could have had it any other way

'Cause she's a crueller mistress
And the bargain must be made
But oh, my love, don't forget me
When I let the water take me

So lay me down
Let the only sound
Be the overflow
Pockets full of stones

Lay me down
Let the only sound
Be the overflow

So lay me down
Let the only sound
Be the overflow
Pockets full of stones

Lay me down
Let the only sound
Be the overflow

CHARLOTTE GAINSBOURG: HEAVEN CAN WAIT.

CHARLOTTE GAINSBOURG is a famous french actress and singer with both of most famous parents of France. One of my favourite song of Gainsbourg is HEAVEN CAN WAIT, with the collaboration of BECK. The video is one of the most disturbing thing I remember. Hope you like.

In a Live Performance

LYRICS

She’s sliding, she’s sliding down to the depth of the world
She’s fighting, she’s fighting the urge to make a …

Heaven can wait
and hell’s too far ago
Somewhere between
what you need and what you know
And they’re trying to drive that escalator into the ground

She’s hiding, she’s hiding on a battleship of baggage and bones
There’s thunder, there’s lightening in an avalanche of faces you know

Heaven can wait
and hell’s too far ago
Somewhere between
what you need and what you know
And they’re trying to drive that escalator into the ground

You left your credentials in a greyhound station
with a first aid kit and a flashlight
Going to a …. unknown

Heaven can wait
and hell’s too far ago
Somewhere between
what you need and what you know
And they’re trying to drive that escalator into the ground

MADS LANGER: RIDING ELEVATORS.

MADS LANGER is a danish singer-songwriter. Everybody is talking about his wonderful cover of "You're not alone" from Olive. But we prefer to show one of his own songs like RIDING ELEVATORS. Langer is on European Tour now. He will visit Spain in the first week of November. Hope you like.

LYRICS

waiting to put my feet on the ground
I'm tired of going up and down
But sometimes it feels safer waiting.

It's beautiful at the top
But i never really get a chance to stop
It feels like i am falling again

Doors are opening doors are closing
People come and go
But i'm still riding elevators

Never here or there
On the ground or in the air
People come and go
But i'm still riding elevators

Everyone seems to have somewhere to go
I dream of going with them but i don't
I'm looking down always on every floor
But i never really find what i'm looking for
But i keep looking for you

Doors are opening doors are closing
People come and go
But i'm still riding elevators

Never here or there
On the ground or in the air
People come and go
But i'm still riding elevators

If i get off and i could get lost
Or better if you were there
I wouldn't have to keep riding elevators

Doors are opening doors are closing
People come and go
But i'm still riding elevators

Never here or there
On the ground or in the air
People come and go
But i'm still riding elevators

Never here or there
On the ground or in the air
People come and go
But i'm still riding elevators.

ZOEY VAN GOEY: WE DON'T HAVE THAT KIND OF BREAD.

Last year, a friend of mine recommended me ZOEY VAN GOEY and I cannot stop to listen their album debut "The Cage Was Unlocked Along" (2009). They have published a new record this year too. But I prefer to remember an old and amazing song. One of funniest videos I've ever seen, belongs to WE DON'T HAVE THAT KIND OF BREAD. An incredible song. Hope you like.

LYRICS

Don't leave the house today
I've got the fear
You'll be stolen by bandits
And taken far from here

They'll put you in a cage
Made of skeleton bones
I'll get a ransom call
From my telephone, whoa oh

We don't have that kind of money
We don't have that kind of bread
Stay under the covers
With me instead

Don't leave the house today
On your bicycle
You've got find your body
With the veins in your heart and your ventricles

The guy's aiming to hit you
Speeding down the road
They wanna see you in a body cast
From your head to your toes

We don't have that kind of glue
We don't have that kind of X-ray
Stay under the covers
With me today

Don't leave, don't leave
Don't leave, don't leave
Don't leave, don't leave
Don't leave, don't leave
Don't leave, don't leave
Don't leave, don't leave
Don't leave, don't leave
Don't leave, don't leave

We don't have that kind of money
We don't have that kind of bread
Stay under the covers
With me instead

We don't have that kind of glue
We don't have that kind of X-Ray
Stay under the covers
With me today

Don't leave, don't leave
Don't leave, don't leave
Don't leave, don't leave
Don't leave, don't leave
