MARTHA WAINWRIGHT: PROSERPINA.

MARTHA WAINWRIGHT has returned with her third studio album entitled Come Home To Mama. This work is marked by the death of her mother Kate McGarrigale, and the birth of her own child. PROSERPINA is the legacy of Kate McGarrigale. And Martha created one of her best performances in this sentimental video. Hope You Like.

LYRICS

Prosepina, Prosepina, come home to momma, come home to momma
Prosepina, Prosepina, come home to mother, come home to momma now
I shall punish the Earth, I shall turn down the heat
I shall take away every morsel to eat
I shall turn every field into stone
Where I walk crying alone
Crying for
Prosepina, Prosepina, come home to momma, come home to momma now
Prosepina, Prosepina go home to your mother, go home to Hera
Prosepina, Prosepina go home to your mother, go home to Hera now
She has ṗunished the Earth, she has turn down the heat
She has taken away every morsel stone
Where she walks cry-crying alone
Crying for
Prosepina, Prosepina, come home to momma, come home to momma
Prosepina, Prosepina, come home to momma, come home to momma now
She has turned every field into stone
Where she walks cry-crying alone
Prosepina, Ṗrosepina, come home to momma, come home to momma
Prosepina, Prosepina, come home to momma, come home to momma now

MARTHA WAINWRIGHT: WHEN THE DAY IS SHORT.

I Love MARTHA WAINWRIGHT. Her three albums have been very inspiring and have accompanied me in greatest moments of my life. WHEN THE DAY IS SHORT is one of those songs that belongs to her excelent debut album. Hope you like.

LYRICS

When the day is short
And the nights are long
It's a different world
Where the rules are wrong

And I, I will go home with who
Whoever is sure
Are you sure?

And I don't care if you
If you love me tomorrow just
Love me tonight & I
I will be all right
I'll be all right
I'll be all right
Until tomorrow night

And it's oh so long
Meet your, meet your friends at the bar
And is that who those people are?
They they seem so very...oh, far
They seem so far
Is that who they really are?

And on the jukebox is your
Is your only song & I
I have never remembered the words
Now I've waited, waited too long
I've waited too long
Our love is gone

No more sober words of love
No more walks in the park side
No more sweet & shy touches, yeah
We're just lovers in the dark
Feel nothing, leave no mark
But it was fun when we saw sparks

When the day is short
And the nights are long
It's a different world
Where the rules are wrong

I'll be all right
I'll be all right

BARBARA: DIS, QUAND REIVENDRAS-TU?

Monique Andrée Serf (June 9, 1930 – November 24, 1997), known as BARBARA, was a popular french singer and songwriter who starts her career at the sixties. DIS, QUAND REIVENDRAS-TU? (Music & Lyric by Barbara in 1962) is one of those songs that she will be remembered. Barbara is claimed by very young artists who recognize her as an influence. Both Martha Wainwright and Regina Spektor have succumbed to her talent. Even Mika has covered "La solitude" in his performances in Paris. Today, we wanted to remember her.

LYRICS

REFRAIN

J'ai beau t'aimer encore, j'ai beau t'aimer toujours
J'irai me réchauffer à un autre soleil

REFRAIN

DIS, QUAND REIVENDRAS-TU? covered by MARTHA WAINWRIGHT
