LUIS EDUARDO AUTE: AL ALBA.

LUIS EDUARDO AUTE is a Spanish musician, songwriter, filmmaker, painter and poet. Although primarily known as a songwriter, it stands as a painter and a filmmaker. He began recording albums in the late sixties and became one of the voices of Spanish democracy after the dictator's death. AL ALBA (1978) is about the death penalty. The last night of the last Spanish murdered by the dictatorship. Aute still writing and recording albums today. He has published more than thirty albums throughout his career. We also include a version of ROSA LEÓN of the same song. Because Rosa León is an icon of my childhood. Hope you like it.

LYRICS

Si te dijera, amor mío,
que temo a la madrugada,
no sé qué estrellas son estas
que hieren como amenazas,
ni sé qué sangra la luna
al filo de su guadaña.
Presiento que tras la noche
vendrá la noche más larga,
quiero que no me abandones
amor mío, al alba.

Al alba, al alba
al alba, al alba

Los hijos que no tuvimos
se esconden en las cloacas,
comen las últimas flores,
parece que adivinaran
que el día que se avecina
viene con hambre atrasada.

Presiento que tras la noche
vendrá la noche más larga,
quiero que no me abandones
amor mío, al alba.

Al alba, al alba
al alba, al alba

Miles de buitres callados
van extendiendo sus alas,
no te destroza, amor mío,
esta silenciosa danza,
maldito baile de muertos,
pólvora de la mañana.

 Presiento que tras la noche
vendrá la noche más larga,
quiero que no me abandones
amor mío, al alba.

Al alba, al alba
al alba, al alba

A songwriter who visited us for years filling from one end to the Plaza de Mayo in commemoration of independence, a total that has roughly the fanaticism of our president lol

All the old spanish songwriters that belongs to this group called: "Canción protesta" actually are old fashioned, because they are no sense in a democracy. But They wrote a page of the Spanish Transition. And they will always be remembered. because their names were synonymous of freedom. Aute is filling scenarios here in Spain. And his political commitment can sympathize a little with the ideology of your President. I'm Sure.

Another hug for you and thanks for your comment. Your english better every day.
